I have 4 children. 2 boys ages 6yr & 9yr who are in school full-time. I also have 2 girls ages 1yr & 2yr. The boys are brothers and they are 2nd cousins to each of the girls. I will often be at the home but occassionaly I do have appointments and meetings and will need to leave the house or I may be on extended phone calls or zoom meetings. I am looking for someone to help me out with the children, possibly drop offs and pick ups from school and trips to the park, etc. The position requires that you have a driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle. The 2 yr old requires some extra help with her minor behavioural issues so you will be primarily focused on her. Experience or education with a focus on behavioural issues or mental health issues in toddlers is an asset along with being patient but firm. You must be prepared to be physically active, enjoy chasing toddlers, walks, parks, swimming (you must be a proficient swimmer), and enjoy outdoor winter activities. Excellent English skills (verbal and written) are required as the 2 yr old has some speech delays and requires extra work. You must enjoy arts & crafts, reading and active play (some video gaming may also be required with the boys lol). Current First Aid & CPR is required as well as Criminal Record Check. You must be fully vaccinated against COVID and follow all restrictions. We have a large back yard for outdoor play, no pets at this time and we are a non-smoking house. My daughter works from home (hiding in the basement) so she is sometimes available to help out but she often has to leave at a moments notice so I can't always rely on her. This is a very flexible position allowing you to have time off for appointments or if you have children who are sick or can't go to school or daycare. If you have any questions please contact me.
