Hi, I'm a single mother who also cares for my elderly parents. We're looking for a special candidate who is open and flexible to do a bit of everything to support our multi-generational family ; ) Evidence of full vaccination is required. My parents live at a residence - my father is on the retirement home side, and my mother is on the long term care side as she has advanced dementia. My father is independent but does use an electric scooter to get around and is no longer comfortable driving. He has weekly housekeeping including at his apartment and they do his linens, but he needs some extra help in his apartment keeping things organized, and his personal laundry. He also likes to get out to shop and do errands, get to appointments, or needs things to be picked up or ordered etc. He's good company and has a good sense of humour ; ) My mother is well cared for by the staff at the care home, but would benefit from more companionship and one on one stimulation. She is calm and good-natured, is able to feed herself but no longer walks or speaks much. I live with my elementary school aged daughter about 10 minutes away. It's a quiet and happy home. We require housekeeping, occasional after-school child care, and on rare occasions, pet care. Having one person to help all of us allows me to keep a pulse on what is happening with my parents and ensures good coordination.
