I have a diverse educational background including Caregiver/Companion, early years I worked for VON as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), and Home Support Worker. This enables me to effectively address the various needs of my patients.
I possess a driver's license and have my own vehicle, allowing me to conveniently travel to different locations for work. i am also comfortable with driving clients where they need to go. Additionally, I am pet friendly and a non-smoker.
In my previous roles, I have worked with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, dementia, cancer, stroke, and various other health conditions. I am well-versed in providing services such as housekeeping, meal planning/preparation, laundry, errands, and assisting with personal care tasks.
I am ideally seeking employment in the field of home health care or retirement homes, where I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. Long-term positions appeal to me, as I believe in building strong relationships with the individuals under my care. Moreover, I have undergone a police check and hold Canadian citizenship, ensuring a trustworthy and reliable work ethic. I also have references from previous employers upon request.

If you're seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver/companion, I would be thrilled to discuss further how I can contribute to providing exceptional care for your loved ones.
With a background in senior care as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN, expired), I am a homemaker and mother of five children who is returning to public professional life. Highly organized with the ability to coordinate people and tasks for the realization of successful projects and events, my aptitude and work ethic would be an asset to the right team. In addition to raising and schooling my children (with the indispensable help of the Hamilton Separate School Board), I have been involved in the yearly organization of dozens of area homeschool families for co-operative education experiences which involved planning curriculum, hiring professional instructors, executing and coordinating classroom schedules, students, and an army of volunteers. Coaching high school volleyball, basketball, and badminton and competing in tournamemts have been great highlights. These things have prepared me and given me passion to pursue my early heart's interest which is senior care. During the last few years, I provided care for my aged grandmother who, though passed, confirmed that my gifts, talents, and interests would best serve the Senior community. My resume is unconventional, yet I trust the right person(s) will appreciate the skillset I am now eager to share. I appreciate you taking the time to read it. My references are available upon request.
Additional Experiences/Qualifications: The past three years I have cared for an elderly couple in their home providing complete care for the stroke client. I also cared for a sweet Italian lady with dementia in her home. I provided personal care, meal preparation and housekeeping. Recently I cared for a 97 year old Bulgarian man in his home providing supervision of activities of daily living. I enjoyed taking him for car rides to Tim Hortons, Fortinos and the park.
