My name is Rowena, and I'm a compassionate and experienced health care aide based in Calgary. Over the past five years, I've been rendering my services to a health facility situated in the long-term care, Dementia, and Cognitive sections. Being at the forefront of health care, I've honed my skills in a broad spectrum of duties, ranging from Oxygen Administration to Parkinson Care. Some of my duties include Bed Pan, Ambulation Assistance, Bathing Assistance, Toileting Assistance, Housekeeping, Laundry, Meal Planning/Preparation, and Alzheimer/Dementia Care, to name a few. With a background in Care-giving/Companionship, holding a Health Care Aides (HCA) Certificate and an Associates Degree, I've had the opportunity to work with patients diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, cancer, stroke, and many other conditions. I can effectively assist with pet care, aid in walking, and plan visits, outings and trips to visit neighbours, friends or family. Although my preference is a live-out arrangement, I am interested in both full-time and part-time opportunities that predominantly span the mornings and evenings, from Monday to Friday.
