My name is Teyedzayi and as my name suggests, I hail from a proud African background. I migrated to the welcoming and diverse lands of Canada back in June, the year of 2023. My purpose for moving thousands of miles away from home was to provide care for two elderly women, a journey which has spanned over a fruitful eight-month period. The responsibilities that come with this role are varied and include, but not restricted to helping them maintain hygiene by aiding them in bathing and dressing, assuming responsibility for their meals, by planning and cooking, and, most importantly, providing companionship and empathy in their golden years. I can confidently say that I am a person of great kindness and compassion, traits that have been shaped by my deep and profound respect for the elderly and the sick. Another significant contribution to my understanding and empathy towards these groups comes from my own personal life—being a mother to a special needs daughter who has blessed my life with her presence for the past 30 years. This personal experience has instilled an innate comprehension of the challenges faced by people with disabilities. I consider myself as a versatile woman capable of multitasking, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and navigating through any potential challenges that may come in the way. I am also a strong believer in the principle that being hardworking and time conscious are prerequisites for any role. Maintaining a clean and organized environment is another mantra that I abide by strictly in both my professional and personal life. Moving on to more personal aspects about myself, I am a divorcee and a proud mother of two children. Before my life took a turn and led me to care-giving, I used to be professionally involved with the central bank in my home country. When it comes to hobbies and interests, I am a versatile woman indeed. I have a fiercely diverse range of hobbies which include a deep appreciation for music, a passion for traveling and exploring new places, an interest in reading various genres, and keenly following global news to keep myself updated about the happenings around the world. Sports also play a big part in my life, particularly netball. I used to play regularly and was part of the central bank team.

I looked after 2 elderly mothers for 8 months. I used to cook for them, do their laundry and be a companion. I am a caring and compassionate woman. I have a 30 year old daughter of my own who has special needs I stay with her that is the reason why I would like to work during day time and go back home.
