my name is April and I am a 25-year-old woman residing in Guelph. I have 1 year of experience in the senior/health care industry and I am available to start immediately. My availability during the weekdays (Monday to Friday) is in the middle of the day and in the evening. On Saturdays, I am also available during the middle of the day and in the evening. I am a non-smoker and possess a valid driver's license, although I do not have a vehicle to use for work purposes. I am proficient in working with children who have disabilities. I am seeking both full-time and part-time employment in a live-out setting. In terms of my education, I have completed courses in Caregiver/Companion, Health Care Aides (HCA) Certificate, Home Support Worker, First Aid, CPR, and have attained a Bachelor's Degree from college. I am specifically looking for a position as a Personal Support Worker and am comfortable performing various duties such as housekeeping, laundry, walking assistance, vacuuming, hand wash dishes, escorting to appointments, bathing assistance, Alzheimer's/Dementia care, palliative care, Parkinson's care, lifts and transfers, catheter/colostomy care, bed bath, Hoyer lift, dressing and grooming assistance, toileting assistance, and range of motion exercises. I am interested in working in environments such as home health care and retirement homes. Throughout my experience, I have worked with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, dementia, cancer, stroke, diabetes, incontinence (diapers), visual impairment, amputee, arthritis, hearing impairment, and fractured hip.
