Hi there! My names Emily and I am a therapeutic recreation student at the university of Waterloo. I will be graduating in April. I am a very hard worker and have a passion for working with people and the connections made with those I am caring for. I have lots of experience working with seniors with dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, as well as completing home care for adults with physical and mental disabilities. Besides work and school, I am still an avid hockey player, I love a good tv show and hanging-out with my friends and family. I would love to be able to help support you and your loved ones! :)

Recreation therapists for Peoplecare long term care - created programs and activities for seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s. - Helped seniors with day to day tasks like eating, getting changed and companionship. - charted residents behaviours and progress daily. Home Care Attendent for ILWR - provided personal care for adults with disabilities like showers/baths, toileting, dressing. - treated clients with care and dignity. - helped clients with daily tasks like laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc.

I am currently working towards my degree in therapeutic recreation with a minor in social development. I will be graduating in April with my bachelors degree! :)
