Rowan M.

19
Yrs old

Hi! My name is Rowan and I am a Kinesiology student at Acadia University. I grew up in the Westend of Halifax, NS as the youngest of 5 kids. With a big family, I grew up being very accustomed to a busy schedule and a chaotic home (at times). I am a very athletic individual, I have played sports ever since I could remember and I absolutely love watching them as well. The sports I play are Ringette and Volleyball, but I enjoy watching all sport. Throughout high school, I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, which provided me with an amazing opportunity to challenge myself academically while also volunteering and playing sports. As a Kinesiology student, I plan on working in the health care industry after my degree. Over my next two years at Acadia I will be taking part of a program that provides students with the opportunity to work in clinical settings related to Exercise Physiology. With this program, I will also then challenge the Clinical Exercise Physiologist exam after graduation from Kinesiology. In this type of role, I would be working with a variety of individuals including symptomatic and asymptomatic populations. While my plans currently are to work as an exercise physiologist after my graduation, I have also always thought about working in occupational therapy, physiotherapy or senior health care. Outside of sports and school, my interests include drawing, crocheting, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I am a friendly, social, high energy and motivated young adult who is looking for a summer job before returning to university in the fall. I can make myself available or a variety of hours depending on what is required and I am a very quick learner. Excited to hear from you!

I am a 3rd Kinesiology student who is looking to help those in her community by making a difference and assisting in any way that I can. I am a friendly, high energy and organization young adult.

Completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program throughout high school and am now pursuing my Kinesiology degree at Acadia University in hopes of working in the health care industry after my degree.
