I have been a caregiver for over 35 years. I have experience working with the elderly, physically challenged individuals, and children. As the eldest of five children, I was raised by a single father. My passion for caregiving originated from helping my father look after my younger siblings. I am a loving, patient, creative, and reliable individual who thrives on challenges. I appreciate diversity, and serving as a companion and caregiver allows me to experience something new every day. I have a profound affection for animals and currently own three rescue pets: a 95lb mixed breed, a small terrier, and an incredibly cuddly cat named Felix. In my free time, I enjoy exploring nature through activities like kayaking and hiking. My latest adventures encompass travelling to new locations with my trailer and dogs. Power tools are a girls best friend! Renovating my house and operating an excavator has been a wonderful experience! Cooking and baking have intrigued me since my younger years. Discovering and trying out new recipes is a fun challenge that I enjoy sharing with my clients.

Childcare
Childcare/Home manager My responsibilities at this job is to care for the children and take over the everyday activities of running a home. This allows the parents to come home to an already prepared meal, tidy house and well loved children. My day starts by waking, dressing and feeding the children. I make lunches and put out clothes for school aged children the night before. A quick run through the house lets me know what that days needs are and a plan is made. (I am flexible when needed :) Children love the outdoors. Scavenger hunts with the two dogs are a favorite. I love to bring out the creative side in children. Anything from making pancakes to creatures made from sticks and playdough. Outings for groceries and supplies turn into fun and a learning experience when they become your little helpers and receive a reward. Every day is a new adventure.
