My name is Faith , a caring and professional individual from Nigeria. Currently, I am furthering my professional knowledge, studying as a Personal Support Worker at Canadore College in North Bay. During my studies and prior experience, I’ve accumulated 2 years of working experience in health care and obtained essential certifications including First Aid Training, PACE for PSW Certification, CPR, and WHMIS training, all of which are valid until 2024.
My dedication to achieving the highest standards of care is my driving force, and I combine this with exceptional communication skills, adaptability, and a strong work ethic in my approach to caring for clients. I have an innate ability to foster positive relationships not only with clients but their families and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a patient-centered approach to addressing a wide range of needs and challenges.
I am skilled in a variety of areas including personal care, safety procedures, and specialized care, with a strong focus on patient comfort and dignity. I am looking for part-time work and my preferred areas of engagement are in retirement homes, clinics, or hospitals.
My availability is extremely flexible, covering mornings, evenings, and nights on different days of the week. I can start immediately and despite being unable to relocate or travel, I am dedicated to my work in the North Bay area.
Alongside my technical abilities, I am also skilled in various household tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, errands, and more.
As a non-smoker with a clean police check record, I can assure patient safety and trust. Although I do not have a driving license or own a vehicle, my commitment to patient care and support extends to accompanying patients to appointments and facilitating mobility with walking assistance. Ensuring a clean environment, maintaining grooming, and assisting with toileting are further examples of the comprehensive care I provide.
Also, working with children, especially those with disabilities, is a task I am comfortable with. Despite being childless, my caring nature and strong sense of empathy extend to all ages.
I am a native English speaker, born and raised in Nigeria, and now pursuing my passion in health care in Canada. I am eagerly looking forward to providing my services as a Personal Support Worker or Caregiver/Companion, ensuring optimal patient care and satisfaction.
