My name is Lynn Pople, and I write to introduce my career qualifications in response to your advertisement.
I currently hold a position as a casual ward clerk on the surgery floor of OSMH. It is a fast-paced 12-hour shift assisting all the nurses with their needs to care appropriately for the patients they are assigned to.
Previously I was the medical office manager of a specialist; Dr. L.C. Tebbutt, Respirologist & Internal Medicine. Due to the nature of the specialty; I do have experience attending to many patient’s needs. My office responsibilities included reception, scheduling (with last minute changes routine), booking of investigations and procedures, documentation/transcriptions, and financial billing. I have managed the patient population of this specialist independently for many years. He has now retired.
The previous doctor I worked for specialized in palliative care and obstetrics. This is where I was not only reception, billing clerk, filing etc. but also a hands-on caregiver performing PFT's, ECG, and laboratory services.
I have 7 years of personal caregiving with my mother who had dementia and lived with me. It was a pleasure to serve her from beginning to end of care. She passed peacefully in her own bedroom which was her wish and I am so privileged to be on the journey with her.
