Hello! My name is Chanda. I'm a 47-year-old caregiver from Ottawa and I am Filipino. I have five years of extensive experience in healthcare, having served patients in Taiwan and Canada. My areas of expertise include caring for newborns and children up to 7 years old. I always treat them with love, as if they were my own. I am well-trained in numerous caregiving tasks, ranging from housekeeping and meal planning/preparation to more specific patient care tasks. These include administering Alzheimer's/Dementia and palliative care, and assisting with physical activities such as walking and range-of-motion exercises. My work experience includes working with patients suffering from Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, Diabetes and visual and hearing impairments, among others. I'm passionate about my work, finding joy in engaging my charges in playful activities, arts and crafts, and baking. Given my commitment, I am available from morning to evening, Sunday to Saturday, with variable weekday availability. In addition to my caregiving duties, I am a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) and have earned first aid and CPR certification.
