Hello, my name is Cara-Leigh, a 34-year-old dedicated and compassionate caregiver with a 4-year professional care-giving experience alongside extensive personal experiences within my family. Remembering my roots, I find fulfilment and joy in taking care of people, connecting with them and making a meaningful impact on their lives.
Having provided care for individuals with Alzheimer's, Dementia, and stroke, as well as arthritis, hearing impairment, and speech impairment, I am well-versed with the unique needs and challenges of these conditions. I am also equipped with the caring nature and the patience to assist individuals with disabilities.
I enjoy stimulating my clients' minds and emotional well being through engaging activities and lively conversations. I am always excited to learn or share new hobbies and interests with my clients - be it reading, crocheting, or puzzles. I aim to create an enriching environment that fosters their personal growth and happiness.
I take pride in delivering a diverse range of services including housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal planning or preparation, running errands, assisting with pet care, and arranging visits or outings with family and friends, among others. I am comfortable providing help with dressing and grooming, and adept at using my own vehicle for escorting to appointments. I am also passionate about Alzheimer/Dementia Care and patient supervision.
Living in Spring Lake, I am available for full-time or part-time work from Sunday to Saturday, mainly in the morning, middle of the day, and evening. I am available to start immediately and am flexible with schedule changes. I am a non-smoker, a confident swimmer, and comfortable with a live-out arrangement.
Having obtained a Bachelor's degree, a First Aid Certificate, and a CPR Certificate, I place a high value on safety and emergency preparedness. I am open to providing care giving or companion services or working as a personal support worker. My preferred place of work is in home health care settings or retirement homes.
I am a proud Canadian, fluent in English, and am willing to undergo a police check if needed. I am looking forward to the possibility of providing quality care for your loved one, making their life more comfortable and happier.
I have been a private nanny for multiple families in the past throughout my schooling however I took a break to begin my career.
