Hello, my name is Heidee and I'm based in Toronto. With over 10 years of solid experience, I offer comprehensive healthcare and personal assistance. I am dedicated to providing empathetic and compassionate care to a diverse range of patients. Through my considerable tenure, I have worked with a host of diagnoses including but not limited to congestive heart failure, dialysis, pneumonia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, dementia, cancer, stroke, diabetes, visual impairment, and arthritis, among others.
I possess highly developed skills in oxygen administration, bedpan, ambulation assistance, heavy patient lifting & transfer, bathing and toileting assistance, meal planning/preparation, housekeeping, laundry, Alzheimer/Dementia care, palliative care, Parkinson care, patient positioning and catheter/colostomy care. My proficiency extends to supervising homes, providing a range of motion exercises, and offering assistance with walking and grooming.
Aside from my professional experience, my educational background in caregiver/companion services, coupled with a Bachelor's Degree and a First Aid Certificate, equips me with the requisite knowledge and skills to excel as a caregiver. I am also proficient in administering bed baths, ensuring patient's comfort, and performing lifts and transfers. Furthermore, I am skilled at giving injections, and dealing with conditions related to heavy caregiving such as incontinence, osteoporosis, visual and hearing impairments, paralysis, Decubitus ulcers, and post-cataract removal care.
As versatility is among my strongest suits, I am open to both full-time caregiving roles or providing companion services in a live-out arrangement. My flexible schedule easily aligns with evening shifts throughout the entire week while mornings and afternoons are open during Thursdays through Sundays.
My main ambition is to contribute to improving the daily life quality of the patients under my care. I aim to bring about comfort, ensure safety, and uphold the dignity and independence of everyone I work with. My preferred place of work is in retirement homes, where I can apply my expertise to the fullest. However, I am also open to private patient homes or assisted living communities. Looking forward to starting this rewarding journey on the 19th of March, 2024.
