My name is Rowell, a dedicated caregiver with a decade of experience in the health care industry. I am currently residing in Vancouver. Being a non-smoker, and a Canadian citizen, I am adamant about maintaining a safe and healthy environment for those in my care.
My previous experienced were in the Philippines and in Surrey BC as a live-in caregiver, I graduated Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, serving as a Geriatric Caregiver and Infirmary Care Unit Physical Therapist for over 12 years. I primarily attended to elderly individuals and retired nuns of the Dominican Order in a nursing home setting, who suffered from a host of debilitating conditions, such as arthritis, fractures, strokes, cancer and dementia. After delivering long-term service, handling post-op surgery patients, as well as with an ALS when i arrived in Canada last 2016. I am equipped to extend a firm hand with a soft touch in patient care.
Weekly, I am available during the middle of the day and evening from Sunday to Saturday and could start providing my services right away. Unfortunately, I do not possess a driver's license and cannot use a vehicle for job-related errands.
Certified in First Aid and CPR, and educated as a Caregiver, Home Support Worker, and Health Care Aide, I perform several duties including oxygen administration, meal preparation, assisting with walking, toileting, lifting & transferring patients, Alzheimer/Dementia and Palliative care, among others. My preference is to work in Home Health Care or Retirement Homes environments for a long-term period.
Throughout my career, I have worked with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, Stroke, and various other medical conditions, making me qualified for a caregiving position with patients with such needs. Fluent in both English and Tagalog, I can communicate effectively with a diverse group of patients.
Providing the best quality care to those who need it is my passion, and I look forward to being of service to you.
