My name is Julia, a proud resident of Vancouver and a native of Toronto. I have spent the last 10 years in Vancouver, cherishing the city as my new home, and devoting my time and energy to helping others. Recently, I embarked on a significant journey, transitioning from a corporate role to pursue more meaningful work. This decision was heavily inspired by the rewarding experience I found in providing care for elderly relatives in the past. Now, having dedicated two years in the healthcare field, I am eager to continue utilizing my skills in a full-time or part-time caregiver/companion role.
I am available to start immediately and can work extensively from Monday to Friday—mornings, afternoons, or evenings. I possess a driver's license, a personal vehicle for work-related tasks, and am willing to obtain a police check if necessary. As a non-smoker and someone capable of swimming, I place strong emphasis on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. My commitment to wellness extends beyond just physical health. I developed a passion for cooking, often experimenting with recipes that promote vitality.
Apart from this, I take delight in simple activities such as walks in the outdoors, basking in nature's beauty, and engaging in profound conversations with others. I believe in creating meaningful connections and being present at every moment.
I have worked with patients diagnosed with stroke, arthritis, hearing impairment, osteoporosis, and Alzheimer's. I am comfortable with a range of duties including assistance with exercises, housekeeping, grocery shopping, errands, pet care, walking, dishwashing, escorting to appointments, planning visits, supervising the home, and more.
With fluent English and Canadian citizenship, I am well-suited for Home Health Care tasks. Do keep in mind that my preferred living arrangement is a Live-Out setting. My dedication to caregiving is deeply rooted in personal experiences and driven by a desire to provide a service that enriches the lives of those I care for.
During a significant portion of my time, I dedicated myself to caring for my 80-year-old grandparents, providing them with the love, attention, and assistance they needed to thrive in their golden years. Additionally, I gained valuable experience in the field of senior care through my employment at a retirement home. In this role, I took on the responsibility of managing the recreational schedule, meticulously planning and executing a variety of events, walks, and afternoon activities tailored to the interests and needs of the residents. By fostering a vibrant and engaging environment, I contributed to enhancing the overall well-being and quality of life for the seniors under my care.
