My name is Verna and I am a compassionate, patient, and service-oriented Registered Nurse from the Philippines, currently residing in North York. I have a year of experience providing private duty nursing care to seniors in need, specializing in various diagnoses such as Parkinson's, Hearing Impairment, Pneumonia, and Diabetes. When I moved to Canada in September 2023, I had the opportunity to assist an elderly Italian patient with an Ostomy bag, a task I tackled with dedication and empathy. I am seeking to continue my career as a Caregiver/Companion, hoping to commence work from the 22nd of March, 2024. I am available to work mostly on Fridays in the evening and at night, and extensively throughout the day on Saturdays. I don't currently own a vehicle, and while I am unable to relocate, I am perfectly comfortable to travel wherever my services are needed. I can not only provide excellent healthcare services, but I am also able to perform errands, carry out household chores including bathroom cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping. While I am a non-smoker and a capable swimmer, I also have the ability to work with children with disabilities. This is grounded in the patience, kindness, and understanding that my experience as a mother has taught me. My preferred work environment is Home Health Care, Retirement Homes, or Clinics/Hospitals, and I am flexible with either Live-In or Live-Out arrangements.
