I am semi-retired and single, I have a grown daughter who mostly resides in the city. I have many interests from psychology/mental health, to technology to the visual arts, to home renovation.I was a stay at home mum with my children and am grateful for that time and that experience. I have been re-introduced to the world of daycare through a good friend of mine, and have grown fond of the girls she looks after, and we have a good repoire. It has been very rewarding interacting with the girls, teaching them handcrafting skills, playing basketball, (as much as I am able to) and listening to them and learning about the world they are growing up in. I see how they feel valued being listened to, and I think that is important. I have also done elder care and disabled adult care, and found that very rewarding. I am patient, thoughtful, but also feel that guidelines are necessary for secure children. I think it is important for children to be children, it's such a short but vital stage of life. I have babysat as a teen, worked for Wee Watch Day Care in Toronto, raised my own two children, and have stepped in to help at a local daycare when needed.
