Hello, and good day! I am Danielle , looking for a full-time, live-out nanny position, preferably 30-40 hours per week. I am highly self-motivated, dependable and have a strong work ethic. As the eldest daughter of a family of eight (with two parents working full-time in healthcare), I have grown up knowing the responsibility of cooking, cleaning up after and caring for multiple children at once. I am incredibly patient, gentle and empathetic, and have a passion for childcare and child development. I understand that every child has individual and specific needs and desires and that as a nanny, it is my responsibility to help them learn and grow, and keep them safe, clean, fed and happy as they tackle the world! I have many years of experience working with a variety of personalities in children, as I have spent much of my time growing up volunteering for soup kitchens, summer camps, tutoring and teaching Sunday School at my old Church. I also babysat for many of my mother's friends throughout high school, but most of my babysitting experience consists of taking care of my neighbour's three beautiful children, ages one through five. Having worked as a professional cleaner and, currently, as a crew member in a kitchen, I am more than comfortable with housekeeping and cooking, willing to adjust to any dietary restrictions or specific systems of whatever home I'm in. Transportation is not an issue as I have my class 5 license and my own vehicle with a perfect driving record. I respect the beliefs of every home I enter and wish to make the lives of children and their parents easier and brighter, willing to adapt to whatever tasks are needed on a day-to-day basis. I have my First Aid and Foodsafe certification and am currently studying to receive my Responsible Adult certification. I can pursue more training if required for a position. Hobbies of mine include songwriting/recording, playing the piano and guitar, spending time in nature (preferably with my dogs) and cooking! There is nothing more therapeutic than being able to write music, spend some time outside, or cook something delicious and healthy for myself, my friends or my family! Summary of Qualifications: - Strong Work Ethic - Adaptability - Creativity - Problem Solving - Critical Thinking - Communication - Positive Attitude - Empathy - Patience I can cook, clean, tutor and/or help with homework, do laundry, transport children, supervise other household staff and organize or plan activities if required. Having worked as a pharmacy assistant, professional cleaner and kitchen helper/crew member, I have a variety of skills that transfer to childcare. I am incredibly patient, kind and respectful, and have a positive attitude no matter where I go or what I do. I have keen attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a friendly personality that makes it easy for me to get along with anybody.

I am an active Sr. Citizen who has raised our 7 children, now all grown. I enjoy my own grandchildren, now, and have continued seeing them and helping look after them while parents are working, for weeks at a time. Because I have this extended family, I need to travel to see them a few times a year. I would like to find a job, whether with childcare on a part-time basis. I would love to watch not more than 2 children.and have at least 5 or more hours a week. I am very patient and kind, but priority would be to make sure that children I am looking after are always safe, and get their adequate nourishment and sleep daily. A clean house is important, but does not top the safety of the children's care. I prefer to watch no more than 2 children (3 maximum) at home. If looking after an elderly person, patience and communication is always important for their well-being. I can cook, sew, knit, play piano, play (board) games, reading, go for walks (pending on weather). For children, I like to help them with crafts, their learning tools (reading, printing/writing letters, numbers, etc. ) and play games with them. I do laundry, ironing, dishes, dusting, and very light housework. My employer should discuss with me what she expects to be accomplished daily; generally, if I see work, I tackle it (if time permits) without needing to be told, unless employer only wants certain duties done by me. I don't mind pets, but don't want to be watching/monitoring more than 2 animals per household, (especially if there are children, already in the home). Many pets are needing attention like a child would, so would make the workload heavier for me. I am available immediately, and that would be from May, 2021 onward.. Thank you for reading my profile, and Best Regards, Donna G. I can spend time with them doing crafts, reading, board games, playing light physical activities. Young children need their nap times, and being fed healthy foods (finger, and meals). I can do that if hired on full time. I can also do light housekeeping chores and laundry, if householder wishes. I would always keep an eye out on children when they play as supervision is a necessary thing. I will want to speakwith the parent(s) about their expectations of me, and what my duties are for unusual circumstances to be prepared for ahead of time. I believe safety and quality time is important when looking after children. I want a clear idea of what is expected of me. I believe raising a large family qualifies me to a great extent. As previously stated, I do NOT have any paper certification to speak of. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: Since I am married, I do need to have some time with my hubby; I also, would like to have 2 times in the week some free time to attend my spiritual place of worship of 2 hours each time. (Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons). I, also, need take a week or 2 off every few months to be able to visit my children/grandchildren which all live out of Province/Country. Other than that, with discussion of my schedule, my time is your time. :)

I am excited to meet you. I hope to offer the relief and confidence of having a nurturing, loving, engaged, and focused childcare provider for your children. The ideal situation I am hoping to find is a part-time job in either the mornings or afternoons/evenings, somewhat around my husband's schedule, as I have three children under 5 years old right now (who of course need a looot of attention :) :)) A little about me. I have a bachelor's degree in Marriage and Family Studies, with a minor in Child Development. My dream career is to help children and families in a therapeutic environment someday. Actually that is not entirely true, my main and more important dream career, is to be a mom and have a family, which I have!, but I want to be equipped to reach and help many children and adults in need, so thus the therapy goal! I am constantly striving to improve in my parenting and child-guiding practice and always reading up on the best advice and research I can find. There are important values I have regarding how to treat children and help them that influence how I strive to be. I try to be empathetic and listen to children and help them learn skills from where they are at. I am a quiet person by nature, but also not afraid to get into an imaginary game or have fun in big movement play. And I love finding developmentally appropriate art and craft activities. My family moved to Chilliwack, BC last November from the USA, for my husband to work in the film animation industry, remotely from Vancouver. I do have an open work permit for BC. I have three beautiful little boys, aged 0, 2, and 4. They are a lot of fun. We like to be outside, hiking, playing at the beach, or the park. I love music and play piano and sing. We like making contained messes to let the little ones explore, playing games, creating art, reading, and my boys are always pretending to be superheroes. When I get a rare free moment I like movies, reading books, cooking and baking, playing piano, exploring cultural sites, and just spending time with friends. - The biggest learning knowledge-building experience for me so far is raising my own three children who are currently aged 0, 2, and 4. - In-home daycare provider, Utah, USA, Aug. 2019-Jun 2022 Cared for 2 toddler and preschool aged children every day (in addition to my own children), created engaging art, science, music, physical, dramatic play, and literacy learning activities. Cared for children in a safe, consistent environment, taught social skills, kindness, hygiene, and respect. - ABA Behavior Interventionist at Alternative Behavior Strategies, Utah, USA. Aug.2018-Dec. 2018 Taught behavior skills to children with developmental disabilities following a written intervention plan, recorded data, accompanied and supported children in various home or community settings. - Habilitative Intervention Therapy Provider, Journeys Developmental Disabilities Center, Rexburg, Idaho, USA, Jan. 2018- Aug. 2018 - Guided children and adolescents with autism and/or other developmental disabilties in home and community settings, set skill-focused goals and tracked progress, used evidence-based practices. - Behavior Intervention Paraprofessional, Madison School District, Rexburg, Idaho, USA, Sept. 2017- May 2018 Nurtured developmental skills for a 7/8 year old girl with autism ( non- verbal) and epilepsy, constantly monitored and redirected behavior, facilitated and supported her in school activities, recorded data, tutored one-on-one, accompanied her to and supported her in speech therapy. - Nanny, Private household, Idaho USA, Jan. 2015-May, 2016, excluding summer breaks Cared for and nurtured two children, ages 1 and 4, full-time, in their home. Played with children, prepared meals, did light cleaning, engaged with children at parks, the library, and home, reinforced rules and guided behavior, transported child to preschool.
