Hello! I'm passionate about childcare with a year's experience and love meeting new people. I worked at Shoppers Drug Mart, refining my customer service skills and sociable nature. Family-oriented, I enjoy painting, reading, trying new cuisines, and staying active. I'm patient, compassionate, organized, and adept at multitasking, ready to contribute positively to children's lives and grow professionally. for the past year, I've been immersed in the joy and responsibility of caring for children. Each day is filled with moments that warm my heart and remind me why I love working with kids. From the laughter that fills the room during playtime to the quiet, tender moments of reading stories together, every interaction is meaningful. It's a privilege to be a positive influence in their lives and contribute to their happiness and well-being.

As a professional carer, with experience in homeschooling, my child-care philosophy strongly revolves around the understanding that children are competent, capable, and curious. From this stems my every interaction with a child. I encourage children in their competence by motivating and uplifting them in their abilities and skills. I stand on the knowledge that children are capable if we give them the room to do so. Finally, I seek to give children every opportunity to explore their curiosities, whether it be through stomping in puddles, asking a million and one questions, or painting with every colour at the same time. One of the most crucial reasons for the choice of making nannying my lifelong career is the joy I receive when stoking a child's curiosity. My new journey as a mother, eight years experience as a professional nanny and many years previous as a babysitter, tutor, and Sunday school teacher have granted me such beautiful experiences to learn and grow as a care provider. I have also had the wonderful privilege to build deep and meaningful relationships with the children and parents for whom I have provided care. From my education in early childhood and years of experience, I have a strong foundation to nurture and facilitate a child's growth. I cherish watching a child grow into him or herself, growing in knowledge and confidence. For my personal hobbies, my greatest enjoyment comes from reading. A rule I live by is to always have a book on hand. You never know when you will have a block of open time to soak in a good book. I also, enjoy cooking and I occasionally pick up my guitar with the intention of becoming proficient (someday it will happen). Currently, I am working my way through the accounting diploma program at Seneca college through online studies. Above all of those those activities, however, I most invest my personal time into my family. My husband and I have a baby girl who is one year old. I hope that this has given you a window into who I am as a person. Please feel free to request any further information that you would like to know. I am a mother to a one year old little girl and before this I was a professional nanny for a cumulative eight years. In those eight years, I worked with several families and cherish each and every one of them. These are the families that I mention because I did not consider myself to have been a professional nanny prior to these families. I was a young girl who loved to spend time with children, but I had not taken the profession on as my own. Once I chose the nanny field as my own I began my life-long journey of becoming the most knowledgeable, caring, conscientious, and fun-loving nanny that I can possibly be. Through that decision, my passion was struck. I began to read books on caregiving and became deeply reflective of areas of growth within myself. Taking my passion to the next step as of January 2020 I graduated with a two-year diploma in early childhood education. My hands-on working childcare experience, since making the conscientious decision of taking the nanny career path, spans children from ages 1 to 10. The first family had three children ages 1, 2, and 3, at the start of the position. I worked for this family for 1. 5 years, until I began an international one-year program. The second family also had three children ages 3, 6, and 8. I was with this family for almost two years until their youngest began school. I then had the privilege of creating and implementing a homeschool program for two families comprised of children aged 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Sadly, this position was of short duration (6 months) because the families' situation changed. Finally; in my most recent position I worked as a mother's helper for a family with children age 1, 3, and 7. * 2 year diploma focused on Early Childhood Education * 115 hour placement in a Montessori School * 147 hour placement in a Waldorf School * 250 hours in general childcare centers * Current Child and Infant CPR and first aid training

Hello there, I'm Odessa! I am a kind and enthusiastic Nanny, Babysitter and Mother's Helper, looking for a full-time or part-time role from late April to September 2024 — just in time for the summer! I am completely flexible and am able to offer my services any day of the week, whether it be mornings, afternoons, evenings, or even during the night. I can also provide overnight or on-call service should the need arise. Currently based in Elora, I am a student pursuing a degree in Early Learning at Conestoga College, aiming to bring my experience and education to your home. My 8-year journey with child care covers kids aged between 1-9 years old, and I have the capacity to handle four or more children at a time. Safety and health are my utmost priorities. I am CPR and First Aid certified, with a clean record verified by a vulnerable police sector check conducted by the college. On top of that, I am fully vaccinated which includes TDP. Not only that, I also have comprehensive high school education with supplementary CPR training and college child education courses under my belt. In terms of the duties I am excited and ready to perform, my services extend beyond care for children. I am happy to take on light housekeeping duties, prepare meals for kids, run errands, do the children's laundry, help with homework, adhere to special dietary rules, keep the kitchen tidy and even pet care. I am excited to discuss how I can contribute to your household. I am more than ready to share my resume and provide references upon request. Don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions. Thank you for considering me for this opportunity. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon! I can do light cleaning, housework, pet care and meal prep. I have experience looking after toddlers, preschool and primary school children and open for working with infants. I am also happy to do pick up and drop off as well if this is a requirement for your needs. I love being outdoors and following each child's specific curiosities with age based activities. I have enjoyed taking children around Elora on the trails and visiting the parks. I am inspired by the open ended opportunities of being outside and encourage loose parts play. I love doing a various different play activities with children such as puzzles, art reading at books and active play. Its important to me to interact with children in kind and responsive way. I find a lot of inspiration through multiple philosophy's such as Nature Based, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf and Montessori teachings.

Thanks for taking the time to look over my profile. My name is Kelsey and I am a new mother. Instead of going back to work and taking care of the elderly, I have a strong desire to take care of my son with another loving families child/children. I would like to offer my home, downtown Fergus, as a place to host your children daily. Or work from your home for an additional cost, open to splitting time as well. My husband and I purchased our home 2 years ago here, there is a medium sized backyard we can play in. I’d love to work with only 1 family so I can cater to their start/pick up times, dietary restrictions, can help with bathing and hygiene routines, and if you needed a few evenings a week I’d be open to providing dinner and dropping off your child/children. Open to working with rotating schedules coming from healthcare and the service myself. I am a mother myself, whom has helped watch my niece since she was as young as 3 months old until my sister was able to find child care. I have previously worked as a PSW for 2 and a half years taking care of vulnerable people. I have kept up with my health care level CPR training over the past 10 years and have been to training and seminars dedicated to the Gentle Persuasion Approach.
