Dear Family,
I am a professionally trained nanny from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, with many years of experience. I have a current vulnerable sector criminal record check available, as well as a completed driver's abstract.
Throughout my career, I have taken multiple first aid courses and plan on refreshing my certification through a reputable online first aid course soon.
I am seeking a live-out, full-time/part-time (32 to 40 hours) sole care position. I am comfortable with parents working both from home and elsewhere, seeking a job that allows a healthy work-life balance for everyone involved. I'm more than willing to accommodate to ensure parents have time for dates. I am able to work in Calgary, but also on acreages and farms. Residing in High River, I am located just a 30-minute commute from the Southern corner of Calgary.
With the new ring road I am able to get to 90 Ave area in 39 mins very easily.
My personal vehicle allows easy transportation to and from work, and it's worth noting I have never missed a day of work due to weather conditions, unless specifically instructed to stay home by an employer.
As a single individual, I live with my cat and a dog. Dog training and trials are hobbies I greatly enjoy, and I eagerly look forward to training for Rally O as well as tracking. Additional interests of mine include sewing, reading, cross stitching, bird watching, and camping, which I added to my list of activities this year.
I take delight in taking online courses in several subjects; these range from dog training to conservation to health and beyond.
I have years of experience in organizing and running households and caring for children. I enjoy spending time with children by exploring nature, going to the zoo, running errands, teaching them to read and write, and even on snowy afternoons, curling up under a blanket tent and pretending to be on a magic carpet journey to the North Pole. I also have experience in dealing with language delays and children and adults with ADD and ADHD.
I'm more than happy to help with family errands and prefer to incorporate the children into these activities. It's essential that the children understand and witness all aspects of running a household.
Additionally, I enjoy crafting, baking, and experiencing fun messes with my charges, like splashing around in the first puddles of spring and having a bubble bath afterward.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Regards,
Joyanne .
