I owned and operated my own yoga/massage wellness centre for 6+ years. It was a beautiful place, however due to several Covid shut downs, I had to close it. My team had 35 staff prior to covid, so as you can imagine I am able to handle a lot and to navigate any situation. I have strong leadership and management skills. I am very warm, friendly, personable, and charismatic.
I am in a transition in my life and have just moved to the stony plain area a while ago. I’m looking for a job that will be an entirely different environment but bring some joy and childlike wonder into my life at the same time. Children have such a way of bringing you back into your heart and into the present moment and I just feel really called to work with children at this point in my life.
I have a lot of life and work experience. I am very educated and have worked as a paralegal, I’ve managed several businesses, and lead trainings, workshops, yoga classes, retreats and I am also a massage therapist and reiki practitioner.
I have an abundance of childcare experience and have also spent a lifetime learning about Child psychology and am a great asset at working with children and their emotions, learning to express themselves and building self esteem. I am considering going back to school to be a children's counsellor.
I am kind, genuine, nurturing, gentle, empathetic, compassionate, mature, trustworthy, caring, intuitive, intelligent and a great communicator. I love animals and nature and all things artistic. I am also a really great cook and baker.
I live a peaceful life in a cottage on the lake. In my spare time I love to explore trails with my two dogs, cook, write, create art, meditate, read, garden, spend time on the lake or by the fire.
I have a lot to offer to a family that is the right fit and provides a fair salary. I am looking for a family that would appreciate my experience and lifestyle. I’m also hoping for a family that has a little bit extra money to spend on an activities budget for I am very creative and would make sure to have a lot of activities, games, art, experiments, cooking/baking and reading with your children.
I drive and have my own transportation. I have a clean criminal record.
As for availability, I am quite flexible. I would like part time but will to do full time for the right fit.
I have a lifetime worth of childcare experience. I have been a nanny several times throughout my life. I have always worked with children in one form or another. I began babysitting at the age of 12. I also have experience teaching children’s yoga classes and workshops, working in a daycare, caring for my 3 younger siblings and at one point in my life had step children that lived with me.
