Before I had thought of a name or developed a business plan, the idea started when my wife had to travel for business outside the country and I stayed home with my 8 and 12-year-old daughters. I worked for Calgary Transit for 15+ years where I gained a great knowledge of this City, the existing gap in the transportation space, and an understanding for the need of personalized transportation. That week started a little bumpy when my wife, who had an early morning flight, could not find a ride to make it to the airport on time and at the last minute I had to drive her there. We live in a newer community, so a driver was not available soon enough. That same week was one when our school bus route did not have a permanent driver, so I had to juggle my job with all the driving involved to take my daughters to and from school. Also, I had to keep calling family or friends to ask for some help with the transportation for them after school to their daily dance classes. At the same time it was challenging to make our schedules work to drive them to each one of their weekend rehearsals for their competitions which are on different days and times. When my wife returned, we talked about our week and how we had to handle all our responsibilities at home, work and with our kids. We realized that even when we are both in town, we all have a busy life, and it is not an easy task to make all our schedules work. Later after talking to several friends and school parents, I discovered that this was a common scenario for many families in Calgary and it was suggested that I started a transportation services company to provide these busy families with somebody that they could rely on to simplify their busy lives. Everybody I spoke to said they would use my services and tell their friends, family, and co-workers about it because they felt many people and families needed transportation services to simplify their lives and they feel they would receive a higher quality service from somebody who can relate. I developed a plan not just to provide transportation, but also personalized services based on the needs of families like mine that includes driving working people from and to any destination, personalized deliveries, and personal shopping services. Our services are tailored not only for busy parents and family’s convenience, but also for their peace of mind knowing that they can get the help they need with their children’s transportation from people that really care. My goal is to help my customers by adapting my services to their needs, budget, and schedule.
