I was born in Tanzania but am of East Indian heritage. I immigrated to Canada when I was 5 years old. I grew up in Hamilton, Ontario and studied at Mohawk College (Information Systems), McMaster University (Economics & religious Studies) and the University of Windsor (Education).
My career for the most part has been that of a Business Analyst however I have recently changed to that of an Education Assistant because I felt my caring for students in their educational progress mean more to me than to gather requirements, test upgraded systems and document process flows within an organization.
I am married with no children and love the outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, kayaking and cycling. I also love playing tennis. My love for outdoors stems from viewing beautiful geography and wildlife. There are many countries I would love to visit such as Iceland, Greenland, New Zealand and Nepal.
I love humour and being humorous in my daily life including when I engage in the one on one sessions as an Educational Assistant. I am very patient, positive and encouraging to my students. I see their positives and potential not their negative attributes or short comings.
Here is my most recent experience in the Education field:
