Information about, and requirements for, my 90 year old parents: - Saturdays and Sundays, every week - 4pm - 6pm - need someone (preferably a female) to prep, cook and clean up dinner. Mom supplies the recipe and will have all the needed ingredients. She sits in the kitchen with the caregiver and can provide verbal help if needed. - Mom has COPD and cardiomyopathy, and tires very easily. She also has a hearing loss, so needs someones who speaks good, clear English, without any accent - Dad is blind, but is amazingly independent, with no physical ailments, and no medications, other than eye drops. - Both are cognitively healthy, and very sharp for their age - live 15 minutes north of the airport - no pets - no smokers (mom quit about one year ago) I live in California, so my phone number is long distance. However, I have a long distance phone plan and can call anyone interested in this position. Just message me and I’ll call you, and/or we can have a Zoom type/FaceTime meeting. I am searching for a compassionate, reliable Live-in Caregiver to join my household. The ideal candidate will have a natural aptitude for health care, demonstrate good judgement and dependability in their work. As a Live-in Caregiver, your principal tasks will include providing companionship and assistance with daily activities. You will be expected to prepare and serve meals to nutritional standards, as well as ensure a clean and organized living environment through regular housekeeping. Your responsibilities will also extend to laundry, meal planning/preparation, cleaning bathrooms, and vacuuming. Work hours will vary from 20 - 30 hours/week, with a required schedule covering Monday through Friday nights, and full days on the weekends. Rest assured, room and board will be provided as part of your engagement, and you will be working within a welcoming home environment. Please note, a driver's license is not a requirement, and car use is not applicable for this position. In search for a person to provide care for my senior parents Dementia knowledge would be a plus and Spanish speaking is a great advantage but not a requirement. My mom is needing assistance as she is further along in her Vascular Dementia and required assistance walking, bathing and will many other daily functions. Must be a dependable, strong, compassionate and reliable individual with the required skills and empathy to handle the demands of caring for my mom at home. We are looking of a live-in caregiver but a live-out arrangement may also be fine. Ideally, we are looking for: Evening Bedtime Prep / Overnight care – 5:00pm to 9:00am. Waking up time is usually around 7am and second shift come in at 9:00 am. We will not require any weekend care and are open to some flexibility on the start time. Primary Requirements: Assistance waking up, changing undergarment, diaper change, walking to recliner, help walk to bathroom or living room, dressing, toileting, brushing teeth. My mom does have episodes of incontinence and properly cleaning after incidents is imperative. Caregiver would help get my mom up for her daily walking around the house as often as possible as she is walking less every day. At this time equipment is not in use at the home but will be in future and knowledge of how to use the equipment safely and properly is a must. Minimal housekeeping and laundry required as this shift is mainly at night. No cooking required as it is all done by family. Please contact with your resume if interested. We are seeking a senior caretaker for a very easygoing elderly woman. Responsibilities include light meal preparation, walking assistance, and light housework. Tasks are simple and may include assisting with a walker. The work week consists of 35 hours and offers a flexible schedule, with payment at minimum wage. The patient is exceptionally gentle, loving, and kind. She requires help with taking oral medications and operating the TV remote. She also needs to participate in light minimal exercise, such as walking. This position is ideal for someone soft-spoken and gentle. The workload is not substantial. Please note, the patient is at high risk of falling, so assistance is needed for safe transitions to and from the bathroom. The patient can use the bathroom independently.

My name is Helen, I’m a young woman working at the University of Alberta with Muscular Dystrophy (specifically Spinal Muscular Atrophy) and I use an electric wheelchair. I’m looking for a part-time or full-time worker weekdays (8:30am-4:30pm) starting in May. Previous experience is not required as I’m happy to provide training! Potentially a perfect fit for students! A valid driver’s license is required. I’m looking for someone reliable, responsible, and fun! Long story short, I'm looking for someone to be my arms and legs! As you can imagine, it may be hard to fully describe the position but regular duties will include assistance with personal care routine and getting up/ready in the morning (toileting, dressing, washing face, etc.), transferring between wheelchair and bed (both manual lift and Hoyer lift possible), positioning, and light household chores (i.e., dishes, tidying up). Most days, I work and have a pretty laid back routine at home. While I work, there’s down time (interspersed with helping me eat snacks and drink coffee)! On other days I may also need accompaniment to appointments, the office, or on city adventures! Pay will be $19/hour during the probation period (3 months), then $20/hour. I’m open to hiring multiple part-time positions as long as it’s a good fit, so feel free to throw your hat in the ring! There is the possibility of picking up extra shifts. As an introduction to me as a person, I think I’m very laid back and easygoing. I spend most days working, doing my silly little hobbies, and occasionally will go out on trips to the office/new restaurants/movies etc. I’m happy to chat or just hang out! Responsibilities: ALS Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to ALS patients, including but not limited to: - Administering medications and treatments as prescribed. - Monitoring and managing symptoms and vital signs. - Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and feeding. - Implementing and managing respiratory support devices. - Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. - Providing emotional support and counseling to patients and their families. Light Housekeeping Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including: - Cleaning and sanitizing patient areas and equipment. - Organizing and maintaining medical supplies and equipment. - Assisting with meal preparation and cleanup as needed.
