I am currently seeking a professional Caregiver to provide high quality care and companionship to a loved one living with dementia. This is a part-time position, requiring less than 20 hours a week, ideal for those seeking a work-life balance. The ideal candidate will be required to supervise the home while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. An integral part of this role involves providing care in the form of conversation, engagement in activities, and keeping a stable routine. While no driving is necessary, potential candidates will need to be committed to a schedule from Monday-Sunday covering mornings, afternoons and evenings with flexibility. That is to say that the organisation of the working hours can be tailored to fit both the ideal candidate's and the patient's needs. While it is a live-out position, thus accommodation will not be provided, the location of work is easily accessible. No car required as there'll be no need to drive the patient around. Preference will be given to those individuals who have previous experience with dementia patients or willingness to learn new skills in this area. While much weightage is given to the assigning schedules, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the flexibility that this role often requires. The expected start date for this position is on the 20th February, 2024.
