I have to admit I do not have any formal education as a Vet Assistant, or a Vet Tech. However, I believe my background and love for animals will make me a candidate for this position. I had thought long and hard about this. I love animals. As a child I felt for them when they begged for food and went hungry on the street. I felt bad when I walk down the street and saw a dog tied to a 6 foot chain and sitting and sleeping in his own mess with no water or food. I had heard people beat their animals and heard them cry. And I felt my hands were tied to make a difference because I was a child. I know better now. I want to make those images I see in my mind as a child go away permanently. I am eager to learn, I will go to the classes and gladly, because I will make a profound difference and in my mind and heart, that is what I want to do. I am a hard worker and when I know that I am making a difference, whether is it saving one dog, or one cat from the pain of abuse, then I had a good day I have to admit I do not have any formal education as a Vet Assistant, or a Vet Tech. I grew up in Scarborough and have lived in Toronto my whole life. I graduated in 2020 from Ryerson where I have my BFA in Performance Dance, my work was immediately impacted by the pandemic and I have not fully gotten to explore the industry. I love anything creative and have been working a few very different jobs since I graduated. I love being around animals, anytime I see a dog in the street I get so excited and love interacting with them, it brings me so much comfort and joy. The reason I am interested in this position is because I myself am not able to get a pet due to my other job, and living in a basement would not be able to provide an animal with a window to look out of when I'm not home. I have looked after a cat before for a week, however do not have years of experience. I also grew up with two dogs and absolutely love dogs!

I am a 27 year old Mexican woman! I am a dog lover! But I like all pets, I get attached quickly to them and I like to spend time with them, take care of them, feed them, play with them, take walks! 1. During the course of my life I have had different pets (dogs, birds, fish, reptiles) I was in charge of taking care of them, feeding them, walking them, playing with them and give them a lot of love! 2. I took care of pets for some family members and friends while they went on vacation and couldn't take care of them.

My name is Khadijah. I am a 22 year old university student. However, I really just want to be a soldier lol. I was born and raised in Jamaica. I’m the second oldest of 5. My main goal for this year was to find hobbies and so far, I love reading, watching tv, making tiktoks, writing my feelings, listening to music and singing, cooking and occasionally doing hair. I love a challenge once I can see the end result. I’m a loyal, trustworthy person who values positive vibes and energy. I work well with teams or on my own, however, I am also very teachable and can adapt to any environment. No previous experience besides taking care of my own pets and home. However, I am a quick learner and able to follow instructions. I’m also responsible enough to excel in the field.
