I am a grade 12 student at Greater Fort Erie Secondary School, where I am an active member of my school community. Besides being a diligent student, I am involved in Student Council, where I am a grade representative and have many responsibilities such as chairing events, raising school spirit, and running school-wide functions such as dances and colour wars. I am also a peer mentor for two grade nine students, which includes looking out for their well-being, encouraging their involvement in high school life, and helping with homework. I have been an honor roll student though out high school. Being an older sibling, I have always been the go-to babysitter in the house. Looking after my younger sister is a normal part of my weekly schedule. Over the past few years, I have also expanded to babysitting for three different families of children ages 1-9 years old. This has taught me many skills such as problem-solving, communication, time management, and leadership. I am currently doing a co-op at Douglas Memorial Hospital. I am planning on going to school for nursing in the fall next year. I don't have any paid experience but I have a younger sister and I have always helped her with her homework.

My active lifestyle, combined with a love for fitness and culinary exploration, alongside academic excellence—acceptance into university for biochemistry with honors throughout high school and commendable grades—paired with fluency in both French and English, reflect a compelling blend of attributes for a childcare role. Known for patience, humor, and determination, I bring a well-rounded approach to nurturing and engaging children in diverse and enriching experiences. As an honors grade 12 student accepted into my desired university for biochemistry, my academic achievements already showcase my proficiency and understanding of complex subjects. However, what sets me apart as a good tutor, is my patience, creativity, and willingness to learn alongside others. My preference for visual learning aligns well with many others, allowing me to effectively communicate complex concepts through diagrams, illustrations, and other visual aids. My thorough understanding of the material enables me to break it down into digestible parts, making it accessible to others of varying learning styles. Furthermore, my willingness to help and guide others through their learning journey fosters an inclusive and supportive environment in which all can thrive.
