I am a 40 years old woman from Nigeria and I've recently relocated to Canada, just about a month ago. I'm thrilled about this new chapter in my life, even as I continue to cherish my roots. I come from a warm and close-knit family, teeming with younger brothers and a smattering of adorable cousins. This created a childhood that was bustling with noise, mischief and laughter. Being the eldest daughter in the family, certain expectations invariably fell upon my shoulders. Some of these were born out of necessity, others were borne of tradition. It was a tacit understanding that as the first girl in the family, I was to embody hard work and intelligence. This unwritten law was upheld in my family, and I took it as my own personal challenge. Through this, I quickly learned how to navigate a variety of situations, including the art of cleaning. A skill often considered mundane yet requires a considerable amount of effort, discipline, and attention to detail. This responsibility taught me that every job, no matter how small or seemingly trivial, played a significant role in promoting wellness and harmony within a family and even within a community. This outlook has allowed me to view life from a unique perspective, and I continue to apply it in Canada, my new home where I am eager to make a positive impact. I am a fun and easy-going person who is aware of her surroundings and the safety of others. I always prioritize others before myself. Furthermore, I have an affinity for children, largely because I've had the privilege of caring for many during my life. I find joy in caring for children, as well as reading and teaching. I worked as an early childhood educator in Nigeria. I create a fun and safe environment for children so they can be their selves and have lots of fun I have two children of my own of which the eldest is 15 and very good in nature

I’m from a small town in southern Alberta! I was recently married and my husband and I are planning to move to Brandon at the end of August. I recently completed a course in marriage and family relations and learned so much about the healthy development of kids. I love all things self improvement, psychology, communication, mindfulness, meditation and especially music! I play piano and guitar and love to sing. I love to implement kind and clear communication with kids, validating their feelings and worries, but also helping them learn boundaries and how to be independent, obedient and kind. I have always been fascinated with how impressionable kids are and how adults can have such a profound impact on their development. My goal is to be the kind of caretaker that fosters their learning and growth in developing valuable attributes such as resilience, kindness, empathy and more. In addition to mental and emotional developmental health I also love all things physical health! Mindful eating, meal prepping and have been very important parts of my life. I have 4 younger siblings and growing up was the main helper with cleaning the house, making meals, changing diapers, putting the kids to bed, playing with them etc. Other than just my own at home experience I’ve had multiple babysitting opportunities throughout the years that have gone well! I’ve been a nanny for 4 months and also looked after a special needs boy on and off for a year or so. I worked as a housekeeper for my mom’s business for a couple of years as well. I love taking care of and nurturing kiddos and keeping the house in order :)

My name is Sara - I am 26 years old & live in Brandon, Manitoba with my boyfriend and fur baby. I have spent the past 7 years working with children on the autism spectrum - It is a job that I truly enjoy as I love being able to help others and have always loved working with children of all ages. I am a very empathetic & passionate person with a lot of love to give. I have always desired a position as a nanny but until recently, I haven't been granted the flexibility to do so - I am very excited to have the opportunity to explore. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends - We like to go quadding with our friends & spend a lot of time at the lake in the summer at my family cabin. I would welcome any opportunity to get to know your family and I look forward to hearing from you. I have been babysitting for friends & family since I was 11 years old - I have always loved being around children & especially love being able to assist in teaching new skills. When I turned 18, I immediately got a job in a daycare centre in Brandon where I worked with children ages 2-12 - This is also where I found my passion for working with children with autism spectrum disorder. For 2 1/2 years, I went from one daycare to the next within my day and I truly enjoyed being able to meet & work with all different families and children of all ages. I left the my position with the daycare in 2015 so I could continue my focus on children with autism. Ever since, I have been working for the province of Manitoba to assist children with autism and their families navigate through all different challenges as well as enjoy all the great things in life. I graduated in 2010 from Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School. After a couple years of travelling & tutoring English overseas, I attended Brandon University with the goal to obtain a degree in Education. After 2 years of university, I chose to withdraw so I could explore my career in child care (more specifically, teaching and caring for children with autism).

My name is Erica. 😁 I am a loving and compassionate person. I have always been very caring and always looking for a way to help and listen to the needs of others. I am 25 years old and have lived in Brandon my whole life. I am in a long term relationship, currently with no children of my own unfortunately. On my spare time you can find me spending time with family, reading a good book, or spending time in my garden. I have a degree in psychology and hope to one day become a social worker. As of right now I am a case manager at Brandon Friendship Center GAP youth outreach where I prevent youth homelessness. For the last 6 years I have been involved with caring for my family and friends children. When babysitting I usually have the children overnight to give the parents a rest. I will cook, clean and do activities with the children and have a good time. I think it is very important to be involved with the children I am looking after and am able to adapt to any rules the parents might have in place and have fun with the children while I am there. I have a degree in psychology and have taken courses relating to development and child psychology and have found using my school knowledge has helped significantly in providing excellent care to children. I love having fun with children but also am aware on how to set boundaries with children in a calm and respectful manner. I have always been told I am excellent with children and children often adore me. Bacelors of Arts majoring in Psychology, minoring in Sociology

Hello, my name is Kayden ! I am a 19-year-old female student currently studying at Brandon University. I was born and raised in a small town called Garson, just outside Winnipeg. However, now I reside in Brandon during my school year. I have a passion for sports, having played and excelled in ringette, an ice sport similar to hockey. I played at the highest level possible for my age in Canada and proudly represented Manitoba in both the Canadian Ringette National Championships and the Western Canadian Ringette Championships. Service to others is a cornerstone of my life. After school, I spent countless hours volunteering in various organizations and establishments, including Ronald McDonald house, Children's hospital, Women's shelters, and soup kitchens, among others. I profoundly enjoyed working with kids with special needs, offering them the chance to participate in regular activities at a summer camp, and coaching our school's Special Olympics team. Additionally, I found joy in coaching children of diverse ages and needs on skating techniques essential for ice sports. I have six years of past working experience, primarily involving activities with children. My services are immediately available, and I am flexible, with open hours on Monday mornings, Wednesday mornings, and the midday to evening on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Note that the preferred living arrangement is as a live-out and I am seeking part-time work. I am comfortable and capable of performing a variety of duties including, but not limited to, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry care and even pet care. Working with children of all ages has been the highlight of most of my jobs, and I am comfortable interacting with children from newborns to over ten years of age. I am capable of caring for up to two children simultaneously and am skilled in catering to specific dietary needs. My experience, passion, and skill set makes me a suitable candidate for the positions of Babysitter, Nanny/Housekeeper or Special Needs Carer. As a graduate from high school, alongside my First Aid and CPR training, I have not only the academic knowledge but also the practical skills to ensure the safety, development, and happiness of your children. I can't wait to support your family and create a safe and engaging environment for your children while you are away. Kindly consider me for these roles, and I look forward to an opportunity to discuss how my skills and experiences can meet your family's needs. I have been babysitting for six years now and have certificates for child care and first aid. I have worked at kids summer camps and coach children with special needs in multiple sports. Currently in my first year of University at Brandon University.

I am fun and loving, very patient, and I love interacting with children. I truly believe that each child is special and unique. My hobbies include baking, cooking, swimming, and reading. My name is Nicole, I’m a fourth year Psychology major with a double minor in Sociology and Biology at Brandon University. I have experience working with children of almost all ages. During my time with your child, you can expect me to interact with your little one(s) through sensory play, cognitive play, interactive play and so much more!
